Hinode - Solar-B
Hinode (Sunrise) formerly known as Solar-B, is a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency Solar mission (JAXA) in collaboration of United States and United Kingdom. Hinode observes the magnetic fields of our sun and contributes to the knowledge for the mechanisms, that power the solar atmosphere and drive solar eruptions.
Hinode carries on its board three special instruments to study the Sun: Solar Optical Telescope (SOT), X-ray Telescope (XRT) and Extreme-Ultraviolet Imaging Spectrometer (EIS).
Latest X-ray image of the solar disk, captured by XRT - the X-ray telescope. XRT reacts to the hottest components of the solar corona temperature between half and 10 million K.
