Hungry holiday for your body

Detox Moon diet is a serious 12 days long nutrition regimen, kept for six days around each of Full Moon and New Moon phases. It is intended to cleanse and purify human body by releasing hold-up toxins and some extra body weight. You can think of this process as a hungry holiday away from the "gastronomy-storm" of our everyday life.

Lunar tidal cycles

Liquids on our planet, including the liquids in our human body, are strongly influenced by the lunar tidal cycles, caused by gravitational (tractive) force of the Moon - Earth's celestial satellite. This monthly tidal rhythm is a natural catalyst of vital human metabolic processes. Because the strongest tidal forces are at Full Moon and New Moon, we choose these phenomena to promote movement of fluids in human body by our healthy detox efforts.

Diet of two parts

Detox Moon diet consists of 2 series of 6 days long nutrition regimen, starting 3 days before the Moon enters Full Moon and New Moon lunar phases. To start this diet, your body has to be healthy and not sick or overtired.

Full Moon period

The Full Moon part of the detox diet starts 3 days before entering Full Moon phase. The nutrition list for the first 6-days period of the diet follows bellow.

  • 1st preparation day: raw and cooked vegetables, vegetable juice and/or vegetable broth, water.
  • 2nd and 3rd day: pineapple and mushrooms, vegetable juice and water.
  • 4th Full Moon day: fresh vegetable juice and water.
  • 5th and 6th days: pineapple and mushrooms, vegetable juice and water.

New Moon period

The New Moon part of the detox diet starts 3 days before entering New Moon phase. The nutrition list for the second 6-days period of the diet follows bellow.

  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd vege-days: raw and/or cooked vegetables, water.
  • 4th New Moon day: fresh vegetable juice and water.
  • 5th and 6th vege-days: raw and/or cooked vegetables and water.

Food and drinks

Mushrooms contain few calories and some protein to feed muscles, they may be prepared boiled with some extra virgin olive oil. Pineapple is rich in Bromelain and supports protein-digesting and gastrointestinal functions. Vegetable juice supplies human body with some essential vitamins and minerals. Best is to drink natural spring water or low-mineral water, but no soda.

Consider this

Please, do not drink any alcohol or bubble drinks during the diet, to effective cleanse and detox body. ...and do not turn into a "refrigerator-monster" after finishing the diet! :)

Extra weight loss

People who detox their self at New Moon and Full Moon may loose some body weight, but it depends on every single human constitution specifics. Detox Moon diet may elevate people's spirit, mood and body tonus as well.

Live smart and healthy

Eat smart, drink water and live healthy. If you do not feel well, stop any diet and consult your medician.
